Terms of Service
Aenead Services (hereafter ‘services’) are provided to you at no cost. You are prohibited from re-selling these services in any manner, or using them for any illegal or otherwise nefarious purpose. Aenead Services is not to be held liable for your actions on our services. Aenead Services reserves the right to suspend your usage of these services for any reason.
Service Rules
Service rules apply where members can interact with others, such as Matrix or Mastodon.
Content illegal under U.S. law is prohibited. Crude content, including sexual or other NSFW themes, must be marked ‘sensitive’. Advertisements or other solicitations are prohibited. Intolerable viewpoints are prohibited. Exhaustive list includes: support of genocide, support or acceptance of pedophilia, support of slavery. General Data Protection Regulation (EU) Aenead Services will recognize GDPR requests, even for those whom reside outside of the European Union. Aenead Services will only recognize GDPR requests when they are sent to @spireshield:aenead.net on the Matrix network or [email protected] by email. GDPR requests should include identifying information (including all usernames the user has registered on our services) and whether the user’s information should be removed from our servers. For inquiries into this process, please contact the aforementioned MXID or email.
Privacy Policy
Aenead Services collects various information, including that explicitly given to us by users (e.g., email, name, data of birth, etc.), as well as vital connection information (e.g., IP address, device information, etc.). Such information may be permanently logged in our systems. Please be aware that we use Cloudflare to protect our services, and as such, you are subject to their privacy practices, which you can review at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
Certain services (including Cloud and Email) do not store their information encrypted, and as such, Aenead Services has full access to that information. Aenead Services will not access this information unless absolutely necessary; if such information has been accessed, users will be notified either by Matrix or email.
Data Independence
Aenead Services ensures the integrity and independence of user data. Whenever possible, we will make every attempt to provide users the ability to export their information from our services. Most of our services provide the ability to export data without assistance from us; in the event that a user requires assistance, please contact @spireshield:aenead.net on Matrix or [email protected] by email.
Aenead Services run on numerous home-hosted servers located in Western North Carolina, on a residential-ish internet connection. Internet traffic is usually routed through Cloudflare, although may be routed directly to us. Backups are taken weekly, and are stored across our servers; no user data is uploaded to third-party services. In the event that we modify our backup plan to include backups to third-party services, such information will be disclosed in #services:aenead.net on Matrix.
